Lacy was my first ever commissioned embroidery hoop, created in June 2017. I remember telling Lacy’s Mom that I couldn’t commit to a specific deadline. Fortunately, she was super flexible! I was nervous about how long it would take – something I’m admittedly still working through – and was anticipating that my OCD/need for perfection would override my ability to be done by a certain date!
When I look at this hoop, what stands out most to me is the added detail of the leaves that created a texture I love (albeit, I recall them being a real pain in the finger! har-har).
As I start to consider creating more commissioned hoops, it’s been interesting to look back at completed projects and acknowledge the growth in skill I’ve experienced over the last year and a half!
I’ve officially added a new section to my website: Embroidery Commissions. I’m nervous to put it out there in such an official way, but I’m excited to open the doors to my extended network!
